Biography

Hatched on the outskirts of San Diego County, The Burning of Rome first stomped its way into the music circuit in the mid portion of 2005. Wielding a Glockenspiel as their axe, accompanied by other avant-garde instrumentation, the group set out on a crusade to alter and progress the sound of modern pop music. Since then the band has made their stay in the heads of their audience a little more permanent with the independent release of their album “Living in the Lie”, which currently underwent a second press now available on CD Baby.com, and ITunes!

The melodic craftsmen of this modern ensemble include: Michael Richardson (drums/other percussion), Laura Stanger (synthesizer/ glockenspiel/vocals), Paul Aguilar((bass/vocals), Sean Fitzsimmons (guitar/ / vocals), & Adam Traub (synth organ/world instruments/vocals). Working to stray from the margins, the quintet has shaped a sound that defines a period of revolution, romance, and rampage. All in appeal to those like Livy, when of writing The Burning of Rome exclaimed, "Our ears are assailed by the cries of our despairing allies who appeal to us for help more than they do to the gods..."
